Daniel Tyukov

Daniel Tyukov joined the Electronic Circuits and Architectures group in September 2026 from the MSc Microelectronics track. He works on edge AI hardware: for his MSc thesis he is building an ultra-low-power neuromorphic speech processor that combines a spike-based auditory front end with a temporally sparse recurrent neural network accelerator, doing both the digital design from RTL to GDS and the analog low-power ADC in front of it, with an FPGA prototype first and a tape-out and chip measurements as the target. Outside the lab he builds drones and flies FPV, which is where his interest in running neural networks inside a battery budget started.
